Workday Calculator

Add N business days to a date, or count business days between two dates

How It Works

This tool treats Monday to Friday as business days and Saturday and Sunday as weekend days. In "Add Business Days" mode, it steps day by day starting from the day after the start date, counting each business day until N days have accumulated — so the start date itself is never included. Negative values count backward into the past. In "Days Between Dates" mode, it counts the business days from the day after the start date (inclusive) up to the end date (inclusive); total days and weekend days are measured over the same range.

About Public Holidays

This tool only skips Saturdays and Sundays — public holidays are not deducted. Holiday schedules differ by country and region, and special arrangements such as swapped workdays make the data too complex to handle reliably here. If your schedule must account for holidays, adjust the result manually according to your local official holiday calendar.

Common Use Cases

Project scheduling: estimate a delivery date from a kickoff date and a duration in business days. Contract deadlines: work out the exact cutoff date for clauses like "within N business days". HR planning: count the theoretical working days between two dates.

Disclaimer

Results are for reference only: this tool skips Saturdays and Sundays but does not deduct public holidays or adjusted workdays. For contractual, legal or financial deadlines, always refer to the applicable law and the official holiday calendar.
